Document Tool
OCR Scan to Word Converter
Recognize English, Arabic, or Urdu text in a scanned PDF or photo with local, in-browser OCR using the highest-accuracy model tier, and download an editable Word file plus a searchable PDF. Headings, paragraphs, sizes, alignment, and right-to-left direction are detected from the scan layout.
Pick only the languages actually in the document — the recognition model loads faster and reads more accurately. Arabic and Urdu output keeps right-to-left direction in the Word file.

Questions answered
OCR to Word FAQ
Does OCR to Word keep the original layout?
Headings, relative text sizes, paragraph breaks, and center/right alignment are detected from the scan. Exact fonts, colors, and complex multi-column designs are not reproduced pixel-perfectly.
Which languages are supported?
English, Arabic, and Urdu — individually or combined — using the highest-accuracy (tessdata_best) recognition models, processed locally. On clean 300 DPI print, accuracy typically reaches 98-99% for English and Arabic naskh; Urdu nastaliq is harder for all OCR engines, so proofread it. Handwriting is not supported.
Is my scan uploaded anywhere?
No. The OCR engine runs entirely in your browser, so the scanned document never leaves your device.
