Frequently asked questions
Will splitting reduce the quality of my PDF pages?
No. Each page is copied out of the original file exactly as it was created — text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution, since nothing is re-rasterized or re-compressed.
Can I split just a few specific pages instead of the whole document?
For pulling out an arbitrary set of pages, like pages 2, 5 and 9, use the Extract PDF Pages tool instead — Split is designed to break every page out individually in one pass.
What happens to bookmarks and links after splitting?
Because each resulting file only contains one page, internal links or bookmarks that pointed to other pages in the original document won't have a target anymore — this is expected with any page-splitting process.
