Edit PDF

Add text, highlights, boxes, freehand drawing, and images onto any PDF page — then move, resize or erase anything you added, all locally.

  • 100% free
  • No upload — runs in your browser
  • No sign-up needed

Sometimes you just need to mark up a PDF: highlight a clause, circle a figure, add a note, or drop in a stamp or photo. This tool renders each page in your browser and lets you draw directly on it with text, highlighter, boxes, freehand ink and images. Every mark stays an object you can pick up, move, resize or rub out with the eraser — nothing is committed until you save, and nothing is uploaded.

How to Edit PDF

  1. Add your PDF and wait for the pages to render.
  2. Pick a tool (Draw, Text, Highlight, Box, or Image) and mark up the pages.
  3. Not quite right? Switch to Select and drag it into place, use the corner dot to resize, or the eraser to rub ink out.
  4. Click "Save edited PDF" and download the annotated copy.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the original text of the PDF?

No — this is an annotation editor: it adds new content on top of the page rather than rewriting the underlying text, which keeps it fast and 100% client-side.

Can I move something after placing it?

Yes — everything you add, including freehand pen strokes, stays a separate object. Switch to the Select tool and drag it, resize it from the corner dot, nudge it with the arrow keys, or press Delete. Nothing is finalized until you click "Save edited PDF".

Is there an eraser?

Yes. Drag the eraser across a pen stroke and only the part you touch is removed — the rest of the line stays, split into two. Touching a text box, highlight, rectangle or image removes that item outright. Ctrl+Z undoes a whole eraser pass in one step.

Can I add an image or stamp?

Yes — choose the Image tool, pick a PNG, JPG or WebP, then click on the page where it should be placed. Switch to Select afterward if it needs to shift.

Are my annotations permanent?

Once you click "Save edited PDF", yes — everything is merged into the page content of the downloaded file. Before that, every mark can still be moved, resized, erased or undone; your original file on disk is never modified.
