Word to PDF

Convert a DOCX Word document into a shareable PDF locally in your browser — searchable content or exact page geometry where available.

  • No upload — runs in your browser

Sending a .docx risks broken fonts and reflowed layouts on the other end. This tool converts normal Word content into a searchable PDF with headings, lists, tables and embedded images. Exact visual Word files created by this site retain their original page size, orientation and edge-to-edge artwork. The document never leaves your device.

How to Word to PDF

  1. Add one or more .docx files.
  2. Click "Convert to PDF".
  3. Download a PDF for each document.

Frequently asked questions

Is the old .doc format supported?

No — save the file as .docx first (Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs all export .docx).

Will my formatting be preserved?

Exact visual Word files created by the PDF-to-Word tool keep their physical page size, landscape or portrait orientation, and full-page artwork without white margins. For ordinary editable Word files, headings, paragraphs, nested lists, tables, links and images are laid out cleanly; highly complex columns, text boxes, headers and footers may still be simplified.

Is the converted text selectable in the PDF?

Yes. The PDF is built as real text, so you can select, copy and search it, and links stay clickable. Only documents written in a script the standard PDF fonts cannot carry — Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cyrillic, Greek, Devanagari and the like — fall back to a high-resolution rendered page, which looks identical but is not selectable. Arabic and Urdu keep real text via an embedded Naskh font.

What happens to accented letters like ł, ř or ż?

They are drawn as themselves wherever the PDF font can carry them. The handful that it cannot are folded to their base letter (ł to l, ż to z) rather than being dropped, so nothing disappears from your document.
