About View Image Metadata
View Image Metadata reads and displays all the EXIF information stored in an image — GPS coordinates, camera make and model, lens, exposure settings and timestamps. Frequently Asked Questions
What metadata can it show?
GPS coordinates, camera make and model, lens, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, orientation and capture date, when present in the file.
Why do some photos show no metadata?
Images downloaded from social media or already stripped of EXIF won't contain it. Many platforms remove metadata on upload.
Can I remove the metadata here?
This tool only reads it. To strip metadata, use the Remove EXIF Data tool.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Metadata is read in your browser; the file stays on your device.
